In 2004, the Lord placed a vision on the heart of Overseer Theris Clark to begin outreach ministry in the Windsor Inn area of Monroe, Louisiana. At that time, he was faithfully serving under the leadership of Pastor James Curlee at New Life Full Gospel Baptist Church. Though he initially received his pastor’s blessing to move forward, Overseer Clark felt led by the Holy Spirit to wait on God’s perfect timing.
Over the next five years, he continued to serve diligently at New Life Full Gospel, where he grew in ministry and leadership as both an elder and protocol director. In 2009, the Lord renewed the call in Overseer Clark’s spirit with even greater urgency. After much prayer and preparation, he stepped out in faith to establish what would become Brighter Day Ministries.
The first meeting was held with the ministry’s first two members, Sister Sonya Flintroy and Brother Arentha Brooks. On November 8, 2009, Brighter Day Ministries held its very first church service — a day that marked the beginning of a vision birthed through faith and obedience.
From that day to this one, Overseer Clark has continued to lead with steadfast commitment to God’s Word, unwavering faith, and a heart to reach souls for Christ. Under his leadership, Brighter Day Ministries stands as a beacon of hope, reminding all who enter that “your future is brighter than your past.”
